Thank you to everyone who helped out as we once again hosted Family Promise
in September! We had three women and five children as our guests.
It is good news that Nathifia and her two young boys are moving out of the
program to Virginia where she has family support to help with the children as
she starts a new job with Amazon.
Family Promise of Hunterdon County is a wonderful organization that we have
been proud to support for over 20 years. In 2014 Family Promise housed 16
families with 30 children, providing 3184 shelter nights for our neighbors in
need. Family Promise also offers less known but valuable homeless
prevention programs, mental health services and support for individuals and
families to remain in housing while they pursue educational goals or job
training.
If you missed out this time, we will be hosting again in February 2016. A
special thank you to all of our volunteers: Courtney Ronaldo, Sue Schermerhorn,
Zan Struebing, Judy & David Formalarie, Kay Beagle, Robbin Lamo, Jann
McAleer, Donna Hunter, Linda Lovas, Sandy Matsen, Margaret Griggs,
Pastor Summer, Millie Mellblom, Sonja Fesenmaier, Sue Scarloss, Sue Swanson,
Dan & Nancy Neuweiler, Justin & Patricia Craig, Betty Lanka, Angela
& Frank Sztuk, David Detoro (not even a church member) Kristina Maiwaldt,
Stacy & Todd Rothermel and Mike Jennison!
