REFLECTIONS ... by Joanne Rupp

April has been a busy month at Zion. We celebrated Easter, hosted Feed My Starving Children, organized a gigantic Tag Sale, enjoyed an evening with the Restaurant Rovers/Dessert Party group, painted hundreds of ties for the Youth Gathering in    Houston this summer, participated in a Bell Choir festival in Summit, NJ and loved (as in, bring tears to your eyes, knock your socks off) the Parish Choir anthem selections that ended the month.

What do all these events have in common? People. People who are willing to give of their time and talents to make these things happen are integral to making Zion an alive and active congregation.  We are bonding, making friends all while doing God’s Work.

So, in thinking about the next few months, there will be a call for volunteers for Vacation Bible School, Family Promise, Sunday School and God’s Work Our Hands. Please raise your hand and say “YES”. It takes a village.
