Meet Our Members

Ron & Debbie Beauregard
The Beauregard Family, Ron, Debbie and children Ryan, Maddie & Allie, joined Zion about 10 years ago after hearing such great things from both Debbie’s father and sister. They live in Scotch Plains, where Debbie grew up and went to school.
Debbie went to Bloomsburg University and is a stay-at-home mom.  She enjoys cooking, gardening and attending whatever activities the kids are involved in. Ron grew up in Salem, MA, and attended Roger Williams University.  He is the SVP of Corporate IT at AIG, responsible for Global Collections and Reinsurance Systems. He has been with the company for 25 years supporting the business in various roles, including operations, project management and IT Development. Ron enjoys gardening and cars of all kinds, especially classic cars.
Ryan (14)  just finished 8th grade at Terrill Middle School and will attend Scotch Plains Fanwood High School in the fall.  His passion is baseball and being the catcher for both his school and travel team. Ryan shares his dad’s love for cars and also enjoys fishing. Maddie (12) completed 6th grade at Terrill Middle School.  She loves soccer and is the goalie for her soccer team. Maddie also plays basketball and enjoys baking. Allie (7) finished 2nd grade at McGinn Elementary School and is really looking forward to 3rd grade next year.  She loves cheerleading and has recently become interested in softball.

Eric & Shellie Evers
Eric grew up in Summit, NJ, and has lived in Oldwick and attended Zion for over 20 years. Shellie grew up in Virginia and may still have a slight southern accent.
Eric and Shellie  were married at Zion a little over 2 years ago.  They met in Emmittsburg, MD at the National Fire Academy/FEMA training facility.  Luckily Shellie was lost and Eric was willing to help her find her way.  After several years dating long distance Shellie moved to NJ in 2015 and is grateful for all the "northern hospitality" she's received.  She still works with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, but is fortunate to do her job from their Oldwick home rather than commuting to VA. Eric has spent nearly 30 years in the fire service, moving up the ranks from firefighter, to lieutenant, to Battalion Chief, Deputy Chief, and, as of 3 years ago, Chief of the department.  He has also been a master craftsman and cabinet builder for 35 years.
Between them, they have 4 children: Hunter MacKenzie (23),  is in the Coast Guard, stationed in Hawaii, Faith Evers (21), lives locally and attends Raritan Valley Community College, Patrick Evers (19) is home for the summer, and will head back to Johnson and Wales in the fall, where he studies finance and plays lacrosse, and Joshua Evers (14) just graduated from 8th grade at Old Turnpike School. He recently made his confirmation and is headed to Voorhees High School in the fall.  They adore their children - and really miss them being little.  Soooo… if any of you wonderful folks with babies ever need a sitter you know who to call!
